"Bee whisperer" Ken Warchol will speak at the Whitinsville Christian School's Crusader Series next Tuesday, January 28.
The Whitinsville Christian School in Whitinsville, MA will host "bee whisperer" and Worcester County Bee Inspector Ken Warchol for its upcoming Crusader Series, which will take place on Tuesday, January 28th from 7-8:30 pm.
The WCS Crusader Series is an annual series of presentations that engage the broader community in topics that are relevant and appealing.
Warchol, a Northbridge resident, is a retired teacher of middle and high school social studies, a 19th century historical reenactment actor, and a former track/cross-country coach. Aside from this eclectic resumé he has also honed a lifelong passion for beekeeping. "My whole life, I've been with bees," Warchol says. He operates his own beehive, helps other bee enthusiasts around Worcester, and examines apiaries as a state inspector.
Beekeeping is in Warchol's blood, as he is a 6th-generation caretaker of the bees. His family's practice originated in 1840s Poland, and was brought to the US by his father after World War II.
The Whitinsville Christian School is the oldest fully-accredited Christian school in New England, with 545 student in pre-K–12 coming from 43 communities and 85 churches throughout MA, RI, and CT.
