video: BETTER LIVING: No-Waste Lunch

Thursday, March 17, 2011

It's great to bring your own lunch, whether to school or to work. But what about all the products that end up in the trash? Lifestyle expert Candita Clayton has some creative ways to make your lunch waste-free.

Candita Recommends:

Two local companies are doing lunch right (by the environment), in fun and colorful ways.

Fit & Fresh, based in Providence, offers a fantastic array of reusable containers and has a lot of great content on its Web site for healthy eating. You can order from them online, here, or check where the products are available at stores in Rhode Island.

Colorful, playful, reusable sandwich bags created in Rhode Island by EcoGreen Bags - $8 for a sandwich pouch, $6.50 for a snack size one. Check them out on Etsy, here.
