Friday, May 08, 2015
In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Worcester Pride, the Boston Gay Men's Chorus (BGMC) will be performing at Mechanics Hall in Worcester on June 7.
The BGMC will be presenting Smile, a performance that will showcase a wide-ranging collection of Broadway favorites and the latest pop hits from Madonna.
“Music makes us smile! As we return to Mechanics Hall for the first time in many years, our production will celebrate the best of Broadway and the pride we feel as out members of Boston Gay Men’s Chorus and the broader community,” said Reuben M. Reynolds, III, the Chorus’s music director. “We promise your face will hurt by the end of this show from smiling so much.”
“I’m tremendously proud to be supporting Worcester Pride and Safe Homes at the historic and beautiful Mechanics Hall,” said BGMC Executive Director Craig Coogan. “Be prepared for some surprises!”
The show will be an afternoon performance on Sunday, June 7 at 3 PM. Mechanics Hall is located at 321 Main Street, Worcester. Tickets are available at http://www.tinyurl.com/bgmc-worc or the Mechanics Hall Box Office.
