Boynton Park Woodpecker Search

Bring the kids in search of the largest woodpecker in Massachusetts.  Boynton Park is one of the few locations in Worcester where this crow-sized woodpecker can reliably be found. The pileated woodpecker maintains large territories and needs mature trees for nesting. We'll look for its distinctive feeding signs as well as other wildlife as we enjoy this beautiful park in spring.  Meet in the Boynton Park parking lot off Mower Street near the Paxton/Worcester line. For ages 8 to 16.  For more information and to register, call 508.753.6087.
