Saturday, May 02, 2015

The 2015 college commencement season is here, and commencement speakers at colleges and universities in Worcester are preparing their speeches to present to this year’s graduates and their families.

Commencement speakers are charged with a heady task -- giving  new graduates valuable advice and life lessons through inspirational stories, involvement in or interpretation of world-altering events, or personal accounts of overcoming odds.

This year’s speakers will join the company of other notable commencement speakers at Worcester colleges and universities such as  Wally “Famous Amos” Amos and Panera Bread Company founder Ron Shaich (Clark University); Notre Dame Football Coach Brian Kelly (Assumption College); and Bernard Amadei, who founded Engineers Without Borders WPI); Len Gengel, co-founder of the Be Like Brit orphanage in Grand Goave, Haiti (Becker).

So who will be imparting words of wisdom at this year’s commencement ceremonies?

See the slideshow below for speakers at Central MA's colleges and universities announced to date.
