Community Harvest Project Hosting an Open House for Volunteers

Thursday, March 02, 2017

The Community Harvest Project is hosting a volunteer open house of those who want to learn how to get involved working outdoors with daily farm activities.

The open house is set for March 25 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Info sessions and tours will be on the hour and half hour with the last one starting at 2:30 p.m.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are opportunities for casual volunteers and leadership roles as team leaders.

"The ability to give to the community in a meaningful way. Specifically in that the efforts of CHP promotes good healthy options  for a population with limited access to healthy foods given their circumstance and the current food supple system in the US. Additionally, meeting all the people encountered during the volunteer experience such as CHP staff, other Team Leaders, and volunteer groups is a constant draw to participation. They are all fabulous, interesting and constantly restores ones faith in the goodness of humanity. Working in the outdoors is icing on the cake,” said one of the team leaders in the press release.
