Monday, June 18, 2012

Italian. Indian. Burgers. Diners. Bars. Chinese. Mexican. American. Coffee. Sushi. Sweets. Shrewsbury Street has it all, and their annual culinary tour de force -- Taste of Shrewsbury Street -- is your best chance to sample Worcester's most diverse, mouth-watering culinary celebration.

On Tuesday, June 19th, close to 50 of Worcester's best restaurants and pubs will be participating in the event that will stretch down Worcester's "Restaurant Row" from Union Station's Washington Square to Route 9. Taste of Shrewsbury will run from 5-9:00 p.m. This year mark's the event's tenth year and promises to be another great turnout. Thousands come each year to take advantage of the delicious samples at Taste of Shrewsbury.

Delight your palette with samples from along the line of excellent restaurants. Grab something spicy from Mezcal Tequila Cantina. Walk on the wild side at The Flying Rhino. Re-energize with a drink at inhouse coffee, and top off your night with something decadent from Sweet.

Pumpkin cheesecake from Dante's.

The food fest. is sponsored by the Shrewsbury Street Merchants Association and all proceeds go toward making the area a nicer, better place in the city, and will benefit the beautification of Shrewsbury Street as well as local children’s charities.
