EcoTarium Announces Half Price September
Saturday, August 31, 2013
The EcoTarium, New England's leading center for science and nature, today announced that it will offer half price admission, half price Explorer Express Train rides, and half price Alden Digital Planetarium shows throughout the month of September. Located at 222 Harrington Way in Worcester, the EcoTarium includes a three-story science museum, plus outdoor nature trails and wildlife exhibits. The September discount cannot be combined with coupons, other discounts, group rates, or special event and party pricing.
Admission to the EcoTarium includes the popular outdoor exhibit, Bubbles, which runs through the month of September. Part of Play on the Plaza, a new interactive area on the museum's Sundial Plaza, Bubbles lets kids of all ages learn about the science of suds by making bubbles in all shapes and sizes.
The museum has also announced a new traveling exhibit, Science + You, will open on Saturday, September 21. Set up as a child-sized laboratory, Science + You lets kids learn how scientists impact health and wellness, while having lots of hands-on fun. The exhibit encourages exploration and discovery with interactive lab equipment, bio-medical research activities, and technology - modeled after those used by real scientists.
"Kids love to role play, and in Science + You, they can pretend to be researchers, have fun, and get inspired about science -- all at the same time," said EcoTarium President Joseph Cox.
Developed in conjunction with scientists at AbbVie, the global biopharmaceutical company, Science + You was created by the Kohl Children's Museum of Greater Chicago. The exhibit will be at the EcoTarium through April 27, 2014 and is free with museum admission.
