Make Your Own Glass Easter Basket - New Street Glass Studio

“Get a taste of the ancient art of glassblowing in this fun one-night course. In one evening, you will learn about the history and process behind creating beautiful blown glass at the New Street Glass Studio. After learning the safety and studio etiquette rules, students will watch a brief demonstration of this 2000-year-old art before diving in and making their very own Easter egg basket from glass gathered out of a 2100-degree furnace. Instructors will guide students through the steps from gathering, to applying colors, to blowing the bubble and shaping the basket to adding a handle. A passionate advocate of new music, Trevor actively composes and performs his own music and has given first performances of pieces by Nicolas Bolens, William Gardiner, Justin Hoke, and Eugene Astapov. El Boxeo (USA) - 20th Latino Film Festival - Clark University - Cinema 320

The feature film this year is called 'El Boxeo,' a documentary by Director Alan Swyer. El Boxeo tells the story of the emergence of Latinos in the sport of boxing. According to Cinema320.com, "The film illustrates the evolution of the sport as Latino fighters exploded onto the scene. And, reveals how these immigrant pugilists redefined the world of boxing and established the west coast as the new mecca in the sport. EL BOXEO is as much a film about Latinos in boxing as it is about the immigrant stories that reshaped the sport."
