Mazes are great for the whole family and can provide hours of mentally stimulating entertainment. Finding your way through the multiple levels of this year’s version of the much-acclaimed Davis Mega Maze at 145 Redstone Hill in Sterling will surely provide a day full of fun. Spend your time attempting to find one of the many solutions to this massive puzzle. Helpful guides are strategically positioned if you need some help finding your way out.  In addition to the mega maze, there are a number of international miniature “six-minute” mazes you can compete in as warm-up for the grand finale and also partake in souvenirs, food, and picnic tents. The website also contains “fun pages” of games for kids, if you are stuck at home. It's open 10am-6pm. Admission is $16.95 for adults, $13.95 for kids, and free for children under five.

Bolton Fair

The 130th annual Bolton Fair starts today at The Fairgrounds at Lancaster, 318 Seven Bridge Road, and runs through Sunday. Featured events will include a demolition derby, a trick show involving dogs doing athletic stunts, monster trucks, freestyle motorcycles, the “Amazing Rainforest Experience”, a petting farm, a lumberjack show, a Journey tribute band, rides, numerous other music, entertainment opportunities and other animal attractions. There will also be a number of exhibits and vendors. The event is open 9am-9pm all 3 days. Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for kids, and free for children 6 and under.

Theatre at the Mount in Gardner

The famed Central Mass Theatre at the Mount in Gardner will be holding one of their five seasonal full-scale musicals this weekend. A staging of Legally Blonde: The Musical will take place Friday and Saturday at 8 pm. It is based on the popular comedy film Legally Blonde about a girl who gets into Harvard Law School despite not being your traditional Ivy League student. Like the movie, the play is a feel-good comedy, but with the addition of singing and dancing and other things you’d expect from a musical. Tickets for adults cost $20 with students and people under 17 getting in for $10. Additional performances will also be held next Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Saturday Wine Tasting

Each Saturday until December 29th KJ Baaron’s Fine Wine and Spirits is hosting a wine tasting from 3pm-8pm. The liquor establishment is located at 220 Summer Street in Worcester. It certainly has a terrific selection of wines, but while you’re there, after you leave the tasting room, be sure to check out the store’s terrific selection of beers, spirits, and cigars, plus cheese and other gourmet foods. It's definitely a great spot if you want to indulge on a Saturday night. Also check out what great specials are being offered, and perhaps order a gift basket or pick up a gift card for a loved one. Admission to the wine tasting is free.

The Wedding Singer

The Andes Pit Theatre at Worcester Academy will be hosting showings of the play The Wedding Singer beginning this Friday, August 10th with the last performance occurring Sunday, August 19th. The play is being presented by the Worcester-based Moonstruck Theatre Company and is filled with locally born and bred actors and actresses. As the title suggests, the play is based on the 1998 comedy of the same name starring Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. The now well-known tale is about a man down on his luck who tries to win the heart of a woman and tries to steal her away from a Wall Street giant. The musical has been nominated for five Tony Awards since its inception. Advanced tickets cost $17 for adults and $12 for seniors and students. At the door, tickets are $20 and $15.
