Fruitlands Museum Releases July Schedule

Fruitlands Museum has released their July schedule which includes a series of public events for adults, kids and families. The events include the Town of Harvard Fireworks on July 1, a guided bird walk on July 9, Fruitlands Reads Book Group on July 10, a Wild Edibles Walk with Russ Cohen on July 11, a gallery tour with Artist-in-Residence Carolyn Wirth on July 17 as well as Free Fun Fridays on July 22.

TOWN OF HARVARD FIREWORKS

Friday, July 1 rain date Tuesday, July 8 | Gate opens at 5PM | Admission: $20/car

Once again, Fruitlands will be the site of  the Town of Harvard's fireworks extravaganza! Music starts at 5:30PM, and fireworks are at sundown (approximately 9:15PM).

FRUITLANDS 2016 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Thursday nights, July 7, 14, 21 & 28 at 7:15PM | $10/car Members, $15/car Nonmembers. 

The Concord Band celebrates their 31st season at Fruitlands! Performing together since 1959, the band consists of 65 musicians from more than 40 area towns. Concertgoers will gather on the lawn for this popular annual Summer Concert Series and listen to beautiful music performed on Fruitlands’ outdoor stage. Bring your blanket, lawn chairs and picnic baskets or purchase food from one of our food vendors.  Beer and wine will be available on site.  The Fruitlands’ Museum galleries and Wayside Visitor Center are open until 7PM. Concert admission price includes entry after 5PM. 

GALLERY TOUR: CAROLYN WIRTH, 2016 ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE

Sunday, July 17, 2016 | 3-4pm | Free with admission 

Join 2016 Artist-in-Residence Carolyn Wirth in a guided gallery tour of her special exhibition Seeing Past Faces. Learn how she approaches her work in sculpture, photography, and print-making. Learn about the people, ideas and events that informs her work and gain insights into the artistic process in this intimate gallery talk.
