GETTING OUT: Live Music in Central Mass

Central Mass has a celebrated and vibrant music scene, especially on the weekends. The diverse array of musicians and bands is sure to please every fan no matter what genre you're looking for. The bars, clubs and concert halls of Worcester County are hosting plenty of great live performances this weekend from local, regional and nationally-known musicians. Here are just a few.

Cigar Masters
1 Exchange Place, Worcester
Sean Fullerton, Friday, 9:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m.
Come down to Worcester's "most elegant cigar bar" to listen to the incredibly talented and unique musicianship of Sean Fullerton. Hear a set of acoustic blues and rock n' roll from this veteran musician, and marvel at this master of finger-style guitar while relaxing with a nice cigar and cold beverage.

Ralph's Diner

Ralph's always has some great music on tap for the weekends. They have been repeatedly honored as one of the best live music venues in the city and deservedly so. Hear great alternative, punk, hard rock and heavy metal from these premier local bands while enjoying some great food and even better beer.

Beatnik's

Hear the sweet and fresh sounds of reggae, punk and alternative rock this weekend in the "intimate and funky" atmosphere at Beatnik's. Friday is the Rock and Reggae Benefit Art Show for LuLu. Look through the great selections of beer, wine and mixed drinks while you listen in the lounge.

Hear the "folky", acoustic alternative pop tunes of Ari Charbonneu, also known as Ariband, this Friday night at Legends. Take advantage of great specials in this great environment to have a beer, socialize and hear great music.

Byblos Lounge

Jazzed Up Trio, Saturday, 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Hear the "sweetest music this side of heaven" from the award-winning Jazzed Up Trio this Saturday at Byblos Lounge in Union Station. Enjoy great jazz and swing music as performed by these acclaimed locals and, in the meantime, taste some delicious authentic Mediterranean and Lebanese food.

The Palladium

The Palladium is hosting some great head-banging heavy metal and "deathcore" bands this weekend. Come see the aptly-titled "Brothers of Brutality" concert this Friday headlined by White Chapel and Emmure. Saturday night's concert is the second annual Strength Beyond Strength Benefit concert for Darrell Abbott.

Classic's Pub

Too Shy, Friday and Saturday
