Gloria Gemma Foundation Announces Hearts of Hope Campaign for Valentine’s Day
Friday, January 07, 2011
This year, the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation is asking companies and groups to offer the gift of hope for Valentine's Day. HEARTS OF HOPE chocolates are four pink foil wrapped, heart shaped gourmet chocolates in a beautiful pink box wrapped with a gold band, and with a message of hope and love inside. All proceeds stay local and support the programs of the Foundation.
Looking for company participation
The program is intended to have a company or group coordinator agree to sell the chocolate boxes for eight dollars each. Group orders of 10 boxes or more will be delivered on Friday, February 11th to the coordinator (inclement weather date delivery will be Monday, February 14th). Individual orders of less than 10 boxes may also be placed through the Foundation for pick up at the Foundation offices in Pawtucket, or for mailing, with an additional charge for postage.
New program for Gemma Foundation
"We know how special Valentine's Day is and we hope that when a loved one receives a HEARTS OF HOPE box of chocolates they will know that another gift of love and hope has been given to the women, men and families we serve who are facing breast cancer," said Maria Gemma, Executive Director of the foundation. "We are especially appreciative to the Mason Box Company, in No. Attleboro, who approached us with their generous idea, and to Dorothy Cox's Chocolates in Fairhaven, who are customizing our chocolates. This is a new program for us and we have always wanted a unique way for people to recognize the day of love with a purchase of hope - and the candies are delicious, too." Gemma said.
Serving as HEARTS OF HOPE Celebrity Chairs are NBC10's Barbara Morse Silva, health reporter, and LITE 105's David Jones and Heather Gersten of Jones & Heather in the Morning.
