Holy Cross Music Department Announces Fall 2014 Concert Series

The music department at the College of the Holy Cross will kick off its fall concert series on September 9th at 7:30 pm.

The first concert will feature newly appointed Artists in Residence Adam Golka, piano, Saul Bitran, violin, and Jan Müller-Szeraws, cello, in the Brooks Concert Hall.The program will open with a virtuoso duo for violin and cello by the Norwegian violinist, conductor and composer Johan Halvorsen. It will continue with two of Chopin’s widely-beloved masterpieces, “Third Ballade” and “First Scherzo” for piano solo, and close with one of the great masterpieces of Beethoven’s chamber music output: “His Archduke Trio.”

The concert series will include the following musical performances on campus throughout the fall semester. All events are free and open to the public. For additional information, please contact the music department events line at 508-793-3503.
