Indian Ranch to Host Concert To Benefit CFMS Foundation

Friday, August 30, 2013

Peter Wolf will be performing for charity at Indian Ranch this weekend.

Legendary rocker Peter Wolf will take the stage at Indian Ranch on Sunday, September 15th performing with his band the Midnight Ramblers as part of the first motorcycle ride and outdoor concert benefitting the Cystic Fibrosis & Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Starting at 11am in Pembroke bikers and passengers will take a scenic 65 mile ride to Indian Ranch in Webster in honor and in memory of those who are affected by CF and MS. The ride sets off from 33 Riverside Drive in Pembroke. Wolf will take the stage at Indian Ranch at 2:30 pm.

The CFMS Fund Foundation is a non-profit committed to raising money and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, two nationally recognized organizations that are leaders in funding research towards better treatments and cures and provide programs to improve and extend the lives of people with cystic fibrosis and multiple sclerosis.

“The CFMS Fund raises money and awareness through unique events to help in the fight against both Cystic Fibrosis and Multiple Sclerosis,” said Melanie DiNicola, director of the CF & MS Fund Foundation.

"We hope that this ride and the concert with Peter Wolf will add to the $1.4 million dollars we have already donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. These dollars support both organizations in their cutting-edge research, professional education, programs and services that help people with CF & MS and their families move forward with their lives.”

A Joyous Charitable Event

Upon arriving at Indian Ranch, riders will be treated to an award winning BBQ from Steve Uliss’s Firefly’s Bodacious BBQ. Peter Wolf fans not taking part in the ride have the opportunity to purchase general admission concert tickets starting at $40 and general admission concert and BBQ tickets starting at $75. Motorcycle/Passenger Rider with BBQ general admission tickets are $100.

"This event is unique because it incorporates a ride, concert, raffle, and a bodacious BBQ! A fun filled full day to remember while raising important funds for the charity. Most rides are rides and concerts are concerts- we have combined them with fantastic food for a day to remember," remarks Kendall Stasinos of Callanan & Klein Communications.

Wolf, known for his unconventional vocal style and frenetic live performance as the front-man for the J. Geils Band, has received critical acclaim as a solo artist. He has been releasing solo albums since 1984’s Lights Out and 1987’s Come As You Are. His 2002 album Sleepless was included as one of the 500 greatest albums of all time in Rolling Stone issue 937. The 2010 album Midnight Souvenirs won Album of the Year at the Boston Music Awards.

"Wolf is well-known worldwide but especially in MA. We are thrilled to have him represent the CFMS Fund and help us improve and extend lives," says Stasinos.

All participants and attendees are promised a good time and they will be helping out a very worthwhile foundation.

"People should attend the concert to have fun and to help two very important causes, they will benefit by having a day to remember and by contributing to the CFMS Fund efforts to improve and extend the lives of people with cystic fibrosis and multiple sclerosis," Stasinos says.

There are currently 400,000 Americans struggling with MS and 30,000 with CF.

"They are in our communities and need our help." Stasinos concludes.
