Kids Can Celebrate New Year’s Eve for Free on Worcester Common

The city of Worcester will host a free event for children and their families next Wednesday evening on New Year's Eve. The event will be held at the Worcester Common Oval ice skating rink behind City Hall.

At the Common, kids can enjoy ice skating, music, and face painting. Finz, the mascot of the Worcester Sharks will also be in attendance. The DogFather will be serving free hot cocoa for the kids. The event begins at 5 p.m. and there will be plenty of fun and exciting activities for children of all ages.

The public skating rink will be open at noon until 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for school vacation week. It will be open until 6 p.m. on Wednesday for the the New Year's Eve festivities. On Friday, January 2, the rink will stay open until 8.p.m.
