Mechanics Hall to Host 80’s Themed Music Show July 25
Tuesday, July 01, 2014
The show will feature performances from Elton John’s drummer, Pat Traver’s guitarist, John Elefante, the former lead singer of Kansas, Joe Bouchard, formerly of Blue Oyster Cult, Skip Martin, the former lead singer of Kool and the Gang, and more.
The concept for the concert originates with former New York DJ Murray the K, who used to put similar shows together at the Fox Theater in Brooklyn back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s.
The show is put on by Symply Fargone Productions. Many years ago, Glen Gardener of Symply Fargone, stumbled across some of the recordings of the shows and was impressed enough to bring the format to Worcester.
All seats are reserved and this is the only New England location where the show will be playing. Tickets are $49 and are on sale at www.symplyfargone.com or at the Mechanics Hall box office at (508) 752-0888.
