Gingerbread Houses!

This Thursday at 2:30pm, head to the Worcester Public Library’s Children’s Room for their Gingerbread House Workshop! Kids ages 6-12 are invited to make and decorate their very own gingerbread house to take home. Leave the mess at the library and still have fun together working on a holiday tradition! Pre-registration is required; call the library to sign up. 3 Salem Square, Worcester, MA.

Music!

Join other area families in a fun holiday sing-a-long in Johnston! The Marian J. Mohr Memorial Library is hosting “Holiday Songs with Mr. Rowland,” a drop-in, multi-denominational musical event this Wednesday at 10:30am. Kids of all ages are invited to come to the library and participate in the celebration of the holiday season by dancing, singing, and playing musical instruments. This is a free drop-In event that is sure to take the pressure off the stresses of the holidays for the kids—and you! 1 Memorial Avenue, Johnston, RI. (401) 231-4980.

Holiday Crafts!

Here's one for the Christmas tree! Create fun seaside treasures this week at the Biomes Marine Biology Center in North Kingstown.

Take the kids to Biomes Marine Biology Center in North Kingstown this Wednesday at 5:30pm for a fun seaside holiday craft! Make handsome shell impression ornaments and whimsical ornament bulbs filled with local sand and shells. Pre-registration is required, so reserve your spot today. Happy crafting! 6640 Post Road, North Kingstown, RI. (401) 885-4690.

Stories!

Every Friday from 11-11:45am, the Worcester Art Museum hosts a special Children’s Story Time for pre-schoolers—and it’s free with museum admission! This week, take your little ones to the museum for Yoko’s Paper Cranes by Rosemary Wells. After the story, explore the museum and grab a bite to eat at the Museum Cafe. 55 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA. (508) 799-4406.

Movies!

This Wednesday at 3:30pm, take the trip to the Riverside Branch of the East Providence Public Library for a free screening of a movie synonymous with the holiday season—the classic animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
