Moms Can Dos: Trampoline Fun + More

Sky Zone Trampoline Park is a kid's bouncy dream come true!

Introducing Moms Can-Do's, a GoLocal weekly feature sponsored by Southwick's Zoo, for moms of little ones--from toddlers to elementary schoolers. Looking for fun things to do during the week? Creative spots for last-minute outings? Fun events especially for little ones? We'll bring you our 5 favorites in the region every Tuesday, and they're all within an hour's drive of home.

Trampoline fun!

This one doesn’t just have to be for the kids! Head to Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park for some airborne fun that you and the whole family can enjoy. This place is boasts 15,000 square feet of wall-to-wall trampolines; even the walls are trampolines! Besides the main playing courts, Sky Zone offers a 3-lane foam pit, 3D dodge ball courts, SkySlam areas, and a toddler court. For moms that want to get their workout in during the trip, try SkyRobics sessions for an awesome cardio workout. And with locations in East Providence, Boston, Everett, and Westborough, you’re never far from the action!

Fantasyland!

There's more than enough to keep your child busy at this Seekonk gem. From rides to arcade games to mini-golf, $12.95 will get you all-day access to it all, along with 5 tokens. Knights and armor!

Kids are given the chance to live out their medieval dreams at the Higgins Armory Museum.

Your little knight in shining armor can discover shields, swords, staffs, and over 35 suits of armor at the Higgins Armory Museum in Worcester. There are great tours and even better events to take part in. Some great recurring events on the Armory's calendar include Make Your Own Shield, an Arms and Armor Show, Viking Training, Salle d'Armes Class, and a Celtic Warrior Arms and Armor Show. Have a leisurely summer walk at the Blithewold Mansion Gardens and Arboretum. There are a dozen gardens to choose from, specimen trees to explore, and a 45-room English-style manor house. Pack a picnic and enjoy in front of a beautiful view of Narragansett Bay after enjoying some playtime on the sprawling 33-acre estate. Scientific fun!

Einstein's Workshop in Burlington offers the chance for both kids and adults to explore the creative side of science, technology, engineering, and math.
