NEW: City Announces Lineup for Summer Concert Series

Thursday, May 31, 2012

The Delta Generators are just one of the many local acts set to perform this summer.

The City of Worcester has released the schedule for the fourth annual "Out to Lunch" Summer Concert Series.

The concert series, to be held on the Worcester Common, is a collection of live shows running from June 29th until August 31st. There will be one live act every Friday at the Common, beginning at noon and running until about 2 pm.

Each show will also include intermission acts from talented community groups and a variety of food sold by local restaurants, along with a farmers and crafters market. All shows are free and open to the public.

"I'm looking forward to heading to 'Out to Lunch' this summer," City Manager Michael O'Brien said. "We've planned an exciting lineup of talented local artists, and brought local food vendors, musicians, crafters and farmers to celebrate all that is Worcester, in the midst of significant transformation of our Downtown."

The City invites residents and employees working in the downtown area to use the shows as a chance to relax and enjoy all the changes occurring downtown.
