NEW: Fitchburg State Ranked Among Top Party Schools in US

Tuesday, February 05, 2013

Fitchburg State University earned the infamous honor of being named the #73 top party school on FiestaFrog.com's 2012 ranking of the Top 100 College Party Schools.

"The students at these schools party harder than any other schools in the nation," crowed FiestaFrog, which is an online source for where parties, bar specials, and nightlife are happening near campuses in real-time. "Congratulations, scholars at these fine institutions, for making your parents and alumni proud! This list should hang next to your diploma to remind you that you also got a degree in partying."

Fitchburg State is Central MA's Only Top Party School

The students in Fitchburg were the only ones to represent Central Mass on the top party school list, but their fellow college students in Western Mass at UMass Amherst came in at #52. URI, the only Rhode Island school on the list, ranked #38. University of Vermont was New England's biggest party campus, ranking #30. Quinnipiac in Connecticut landed at #42, University of New Hampshire's main campus came in at #46, and University of Maine ranked #54.

Party science

To create the list, FiestaFrog says it "visited campuses, polled students, and spoke to countless partiers who attend or attended schools across the country."

"If your school is not on the list, that must mean your school doesn’t party hard enough!" according to FiestaFrog. "If this is the case, you are going to have to party more, party harder, and step your game up this year," according to the site.
