New: WEDF’s Hearts for the Arts Auction on Friday

The third Annual Hearts for the Arts Auction to benefit the Worcester Educational Development Foundation's mini-grant program will be held today, Friday, April 5th at Coral Seafood at 225 Shrewsbury Street in Worcester. The mini-grant program supports both students and teachers thrive and achieve their educational goals.

Auction viewing and bidding on the hand crafted hearts begins at 4:30 p.m. with live entertainment by the Silverbacks - whose members have performed with Albatross, American Standard, Joe Cocker, and the Tina Turner Band - slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. The silent Auction will conclude at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is just $20. Light fare is included.

Other upcoming events designed to help raise funds to help this important organization include the Foley 5k Road Race on Sunday, May 5. Proceeds from this event go to help buy equipment and support programs that support health and fitness for Worcester Public School students.
