Pearl Jam announced today that they will embark on a two-leg, twenty-four date North American tour this fall including a stop at the newly renovated DCU Center. Leg one kicks-off in Pittsburgh on October 11 and wraps in New Orleans with the band's previously announced headlining performance at Voodoo Music + Arts Experience during the weekend of November 1. The second leg of the tour commences in Dallas on November 15 and closes in the band’s hometown of Seattle on December 6.

As the only Massachusetts stop on the tour, the legendary Pearl Jam will perform for the first time ever at the newly renovated SMG-managed DCU Center in Worcester on October 15.

The Newly Renovated DCU Center

After more than 30 years of successful operation, the DCU Center is currently undergoing a $23 Million Renovation and Expansion project. Funded by the City of Worcester, construction will take place over the course of a five-month period, May 1 – October 1, 2013, during which time the Arena will be closed and undergo major renovations. Elements of the new design incorporate upgrades to both the interior and exterior of the facility. Plans include a new façade, digital marquee, a landscaped promenade/entrance, redesigned box office pavilion, an expanded concourse, indoor/outdoor retail space and a new concourse-level bar/club area.

Tickets for Pearl Jam are $79.00. Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 27 at 10:00AM at the DCU Center Box Office, Ticketmaster locations, by phone at 800-745-3000 and online at ticketmaster.com.
