The Barber of Siberia
The Museum of Russian Icons will present “The Barber of Siberia,” a 1998 Russian film directed by Nikita Mikhalkov.
The movie will be shown at the Strand Theatre in Clinton on March 26 from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The film is being shown as part of a fundraiser for Mother’s Day MA-MAtryoshka Festival on May 14.
The Barber of Siberia
This film brings to the screen a story of Jane Callahan (Julia Ormond) a beautiful cosmopolitan courtesan and Andrey Tolstoy a young cadet of Russian imperial army (Oleg Menshikov). It is a story of love and honor set during the reign of Tsar Alexander III.
The movie will be shown in Russian language with English subtitles.
