Have an antique or otherwise unique car you’d like to show off? Do you want to see some great cars or just hang out with some old buddies or members of your local community? Cruise nights have been an American small town tradition since the 1940s. Starting in California, the tradition has spread throughout the country thanks in part to films such as American Graffiti. Central Mass has a number of Cruise Nights happening regularly throughout the summer months. Here are a few notable ones near you.

Wednesday Night Cruising for Charity
117 West Main Street on Route 9, Spencer
Come down to Klem’s any Wednesday from 5:30 pm to dusk through August 29th in Spencer to watch or participate in some Wednesday night cruising. Presented by the Massachusetts Masons, all proceeds go to charity, and admission is free!  All cars and trucks are welcome. There will be oldies music, food and drinks, and a raffle. Cruz Nights at the Candy Mansion
575 Hartford Turnpike, Shrewsbury
Want to show off or see a vintage or customized car? Bring it to the Hebert’s Candy Mansion in Shrewsbury from 5 pm to dusk each Wednesday this summer. STN Car Club Cruise
75 Fortune Boulevard, Milford
This Wednesday night cruise is hosted by the STN Car Club and is being held every Wednesday until August 29th from 6 pm to dusk. Thanks to the event being held at a Consumer Auto Parts, live factory demonstrations are part of the event festivities. There will be plenty of great cars, food and music. Friday Night Cruisin’ at Auburn Webster Elks
754 Southbridge Street, Auburn
This cruise night is held each Friday night 5-9 pm until August 31 at Auburn/Webster Elks Lodge #2118.  And it is for a good cause! All donations benefit the Elks Scholarship fund.  Each night, there is food and a 50/50 raffle. All car year, makes, and models are welcome. In addition, there are various weekly awards. Friday Night Cruise Nights at Wojcik’s Farm
65 Milk Street, Blackstone
Drive your show car or motorcycle down to Wojcik’s Farm in Blackstone and participate in a number of fun-filled activities. Cruise nights are being held on Fridays starting July 13 through September 28 from 5:30-9 pm. Admission is free and all show cars (antique, sports, and Kit) and motorcycles are welcome. There will be food, drinks, ice cream, a DJ, and even live bands on select dates. In addition there will be a raffle and door prizes. For those cars that impress the most, trophies are given! Kimball Farm Cruise Night
1543 Lunenburg Road, Lancaster
The famous Kimball Farm in Lancaster is hosting cruise nights on Fridays throughout the summer until Labor Day. Over 300 vintage or otherwise unique cars are traditionally on display. A DJ with Oldies music, cash prizes, and great Kimball’s food and ice cream combine to create a terrific environment for a night out. The event lasts 5-9 pm and admission is free.
