What a girl wants, apparently, is a Rhode Island boy. Newly single songstress Christina Aguilera reportedly stopped by the Ocean State on Saturday to meet new guy Matt Rutler’s family during a spontaneous detour en route from LA to the Big Apple. Aguilera met Rutler on the set of her newly-released film, Burlesque, where he worked as a set assistant. Celeb blogger Perez Hilton has been following the budding romance (with some very strong opinions, per usual) as its progresses…Bringing his GTL to the PVD, Johnston native Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio celebrated his homecoming by spinning at Lupo’s on Friday night (posting on his Facebook fan page that that the infamous GTL acronym was modified to “Gym, Tan, Lupo’s”). Unlike the unannounced drop by the University of Rhode Island we reported earlier this month, which incited a stampede, Lupo’s was prepared for Pauly D with crowd control barriers. “What a great homecoming!! No word on is his mom-to-be better half will be joining him (we think not) … Also headed to URI is funnyman Bill Hader, a Saturday Night Live stand-out and part of the well-recognized Judd Apatow roster of regulars, appearing in films including Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Knocked Up. Hader (who’ll hopefully channel his breakout character, club kid Stefon), appears at the school Sunday.
