Denizen of all things dirty, Mike Rowe, host of the Discovery Channel’s Dirty Jobs, will be pulling back the curtains on the Newport Distilling Company (also home to Coastal Extreme Brewing Company, purveyors of Newport Storm beers) to see how (and how dirty) Thomas Tew Rum making can be on Tuesday, January 11. The ruggedly handsome host, fresh off an appearance on Oprah, paid a visit to the distillery in August for filming and the team there is toasting the show’s debut with four Rhode Island viewing parties: The Spot Underground in Providence, Doherty’s East Ave Café in Pawtucket, Mews Tavern in South Kingstown and Mudville Pub in Newport. Revelers are encouraged to dress as a “Dirty Pirate,” and Thomas Tew prizes will be arrrrr-warded to the best costumes at each site … Christina Aguilera brought in the New Year with her Rhode Island native boyfriend, Matt Rutler, at her side. The two lunched in full view of the paparazzi at the famed Ivy restaurant in Beverly Hills earlier in the day and the lovebirds reportedly counted down to 2011 at the

singer’s Beverly Hills home alongside other luminaries including Nicole Richie and Joel Madden … Rumors are swirling that Barrington’s own Shanna Moakler, host the controversial Bridalplasty reality competition currently airing on E!
