Space Jam, starring Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny, will be shown at the Worcester Common Oval as part of the city’s #Worcester100 campaign to bring 100 events to the Common in 2017.
The movie will be shown on Thursday, July 6 starting at 8:30 p.m. by projection on a large screen behind City Hall.
Food vendors will be selling hot dogs, kettle corn, and more.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic basket, blanket, and chairs.
Parking will be available on the street or in the new Worcester Common Garage at 3 Eaton Pl.
It is FREE and open to the public.
Space Jam
Space Jam is a 1996 fictional story of what happened between Jordan's initial retirement from the NBA in 1993 and his comeback in 1995 in which he becomes embroiled in events involving Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes.
The Looney Tunes are in a basketball game against the evil Monstars, who stole talent from NBA players.
They recruit Jordan to help them.
