The Curtain Society Celebrates 28 Years of Music

The Curtain Society of Worcester will be playing a free show at Vincent’s from 9 p.m. to midnight on December 17 to celebrate the 28th anniversary of their first live performance.

The Curtain Society, originally from Southbridge, Massachusetts, first played in their high school auditorium and soon found success when they released their first full-length album Inertia through Bedazzled Records and hit #1 on CMJ stations.  

The Curtain Society would headline sold out shows all around New England at venues like The Middle East, Mama Kin, TT the Bears Place, Ralph’s and the Paradise. The released three full lengths albums, two EP’s, multiple singles and appeared on countless compilations. Their music has been licensed for television shows, commercials, soap operas and movies and was even used by NBC in a network Promotional campaign.

The band has also backed many a touring band including: Jim Carroll, Mark Burgess of the Chameleons and Shana (Daughter of Van) Morrison. 

Roger Lavallee, Ron Momonie and Duncan Arsenault (who replaced original drummer Jeff Paul over 20 years ago) still play together regularly and writes new music. They all play in a variety of other projects, together and separately and Roger is a sought after producer but The music they make with The Curtain Society is their first love and the band invites the public to join them in celebrating this milestone.
