Tower Hill Announces Summer Concert Series

Friday, May 31, 2013

A sublime place to watch a concert.

A live concert on the lawn on a summer evening at Tower Hill Botanic Garden is a sublime experience. The 132-acre garden paradise located in Boylston, Mass. is an ideal location. It seems that music and gardens go together like fine wine and a gourmet meal.

Tower Hill Botanic Garden announces three summer concerts this year--in addition to the regular musical entertainment in Twigs Café every Wednesday night.

The Performers

Mieka Pauley will perform on Thursday, June 20. Pauley's powerful alternative style melds together soul, blues, and rock. She is an artist who possesses a voice that flows like good whiskey and a frankness that conjures up a sonic immediacy with driving, yearning melodies. She has performed more than 650 shows in the past four years, including gigs with Eric Clapton, Wyclef Jean, the Black Eyed Peas, John Legend, and many others. The concert begins at 7:30 pm. Learn more about Mieka Pauley at her website: http://mieka.com/.

Roomful of Blues will perform on Sunday, July 28. With their masterful combination of jumpy, horn-heavy, hard-edged blues and R&B, it's no wonder Count Basie called Roomful of Blues "the hottest blues band I've ever heard." With a non-stop performance schedule for more than 40 years, Roomful of Blues has earned critical, popular and radio success and a legion of fans around the globe. They have always been one of the tightest, most joyful blues ensembles in the world. They have never sounded fresher or stronger than with their current line-up. A barbecue meal will be available for purchase from 5 pm-6:30 pm. The concert will begin at 5:30 pm. Learn more about Roomful of Blues at: http://www.roomful.com/.

Singer/songwriter Livingston Taylor will perform on Friday, August 9. The concert begins at 6pm. Learn more about Mr. Taylor at: http://www.livtaylor.com/.
