From the warm and wonderful world of Bach's Oboe and Violin Concerto, to the stark and simple String Quartet which Shostakovich wrote after losing his wife. From the daring Romanticism of Rebecca Clarke's Viola Sonata, to the eccentric and mesmerizing sound of Benjamin Britten's Phantasie for Oboe and Strings, this program brings you through a multiplicity of soundscapes, each a world unto itself.

Get a taste of the ancient art of glassblowing in this fun one-night course. In one evening, you will learn about the history and process behind creating beautiful blown glass at the New Street Glass Studio. After learning the safety and studio etiquette rules, students will watch a brief demonstration of this 2000-year-old art before diving in and making their very own sangria pitcher from glass gathered out of a 2100-degree furnace. Instructors will guide students through the steps from gathering to blowing the bubble, from shaping the pitcher to adding a handle and spout. No experience is necessary and all materials are included.

Shakespeare's - A Midsummer Night's Dream
The Alumni Company is a summer company of young professional theatre-makers focusing on Shakespeare, ensemble, and collaborative performance. Part of the Shakespeare Academy at Stratford, Ct, this year the Alumni Company is touring their 70-minute four-person production of A Midsummer Night's Dream throughout the northeast. The classic tale of four lovers lost in the woods with a little fairy magic and lots of confusion comes to life in this playful, scrappy, and heartfelt production.

Using rhythms from Mali and other West African countries as well as from around the world, Zach and Issa will lead the group in a global rhythm journey. No prior experience is necessary - experienced Djembe players are welcome. JOMP and Crocodile River Music will have drums available. You may bring your own Djembe or similar drum. Pre-registration required so we have enough drums for everyone.
