Use the non toxic method of salt water etching to create customized pieces of copper and brass that can be fabricated into wide ring bands, cuff bracelets or decorative embellishments. Students will learn how to sweat-solder sterling silver as a backing on their jewelry pieces to create wearable mixed metal pieces. *Open to beginners/ all levels.

Award-winning author Andrea Wulf will visit Tower Hill for the first time and speak about her new book, The Invention of Nature: Alexander Von Humboldt's New World. The book has received wide praise around the worldrld, as has her previous books on gardens and garden history. Tower Hill selected The Invention of Nature for our first community read: Tower Hill READS and Ms. Wulf's lecture is part of a series of events and activities taking place between March and June.

Wednesday is Preschool and Toddler day at the EcoTarium! Kids ages 4 and under enjoy a story, make crafts, and meet an animal. Each week features a different theme and surprise animal visitor. The program includes a simple snack (apple juice and animal crackers for kids, coffee and tea for grownups). Bring your friends and explore the museum afterwards!
