Worcester Art Museum to Host Festival of Lanterns

"The Worcester Art Museum is riding an unprecedented wave of momentum, inspiring new audiences of all backgrounds," said Luke M. Vaillancourt, co-chair of the evening event. "The Corporators Ball will help the Museum sustain this growth as it continues to play a critical role in the cultural and economic vitality of New England. Whether you attend for the art, the entertainment, or simply the philanthropy, the gala is certain to be the pinnacle social event of the year."
The evening will include a red-carpet arrival and cocktail reception; dinner served under Japanese lanterns in the Stoddard Garden Court; silent and live auctions offering a selection of art, experiences, and finely curated offerings; and a festive after-dinner dance party with music from Auburn's Sam James of NBC-TV's "The Voice."
The gala begins at 6 PM with the red-carpet arrival, cocktail reception and silent auction. Dinner and a live auction will follow at 7:30 PM. Dancing and entertainment is from 9 PM to 11 PM.
Individual ticket prices start at $250 for the entire evening; $75 for the after-dinner party only. Reservations can be made by calling 508-793-4438 oronline at worcesterart.org.
