To raise awareness for their Knights! exhibit which features arms and armor from the Higgins Armory Museum that recently closed, the Worcester Art Museum sent out their “knight in shining armor” on Tuesday to the Union Station Bus Depot to hand out flyers and educate people about the exhibit.

In addition, the “knight” along with members of the Worcester Art Museum boarded an MBTA bus – wrapped with images of armor that can be found at the museum – to extend the education to travelers around the city.

“The response to the exhibit has definitely been positive,” said Neal Bourbeau, the Knights! Education Program Assistant at the Worcester Art Museum. “We are taking a ride on the MBTA bus so that we can pass out flyers, free tickets, and to educate people about the program so that people are aware that the Higgins armor is now on display at the art museum.”

The bus will be wrapped in armor throughout the summer to promote the exhibit. As a part of the Highland Street Foundation’s Free Fun Fridays, the Worcester Art Museum will be open free to the public on June 27th. For more information about the Knights! Exhibit, visit www.worcesterart.org/Exhibitions/knights.
