Worcester Chamber Music Society now accepting applications for ChamberFest

The Worcester Chamber Music Society (WCMS) is now accepting applications for its ChamberFest Music Camp.

“We are excited to be hosting another round of ChamberFest sessions at Clark University this summer and grateful to the university for having us on their campus. ChamberFest will bring together a community of youth and adults who share a passion for music for a week of coaching sessions, workshops, and concerts,” said WCMS Executive Director, Tracy Kraus.

The camp runs from July 1 through July 5 or July 8 through July 12 at Clark University.

Applications are being accepted now through May 10.

Participants who submit their applications by February 25 will receive a 10 percent discount off tuition.

The camp is for string, woodwinds, and pianists ages 12 through adults.

Directed by WCMS’ Education Director, Ariana Falk, ChamberFest creates a multi-generational atmosphere that promotes cooperation and creativity through coaching sessions, workshops, and concerts given by the world-class musicians at their organization.

Tailored to suit students of all ages, intermediate through advanced, ChamberFest will also offer coaching, African drumming, master classes, concerts, BBQ, sports, and skit nights.

WCMS will also host an Evening Adult Ensemble during Session 2 of ChamberFest, Monday through Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Participants will have an opportunity to attend evening workshops and attend faculty concerts.
