Worcester EcoTarium Tree Canopy Walkway to Open on June 24

The Worcester EcoTarium’s Tree Canopy Walkway – the first in the country for public use – will be opening on June 24th and will be open for two months.

A unique and exciting opportunity for families to explore life in the treetops, the Tree Canopy Walkway allows for people to walk 40 feet high in the tree top, harnessed and clipped to swinging bridges spanning 150 feet. After taking time to observe life in the tree tops, visitors can zipline down to the forest floor.  

Guided Tree Canopy Walkway sessions start on the half hour from 10:30am to 4pm Tuesdays through Saturdays and from 12:30 to 4pm on Sundays. The walkway is open to children aged 5-12 with an adult and ages 12 and older without a chaperone. The cost is $10 per person plus museum admission and $8 for members.

The EcoTarium is located at 222 Harrington Way in Worcester, Massachusetts. The science and nature center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sundays 12 to 5pm. Admission is $14 for adults, $8 for children 2-18, $10 for seniors 65+ and students with valid ID. WOO card holders receive $2 off admission for up to 4 people. Parking is free. The Sprinkler Factory

The Sprinkler Factory is a unique gem in Downtown Worcester and a true center for all the arts. Once a manufacturing plant, the Sprinkler Factory now provides space for individual artists to form their own studios and contains areas for music, dance, and other fun activities. Boulder Art Gallery
