The Worcester Palladium, a storied music venue that has been a city fixture since it first opened as a movie theater in 1931, has announced the beginning of The Palladium Restoration Project.
The Project seeks to raise $1 million in order to renovate and modernize the venue. The renovation effort will encompass everything from rebuilding the Palladium's historic architecture to the way that the venue uses up-to-date technologies.
The Palladium is appealing to members of the public to help them with their efforts, offering myriad prizes and giveaways to those who contribute. Fundraising efforts for the Restoration Project have kicked off on indiegogo.com. Donors of $150 or more will receive tickets to see Falling in Reverse during their sold-out show Saturday, February 1st, as well as a CD and signed poster. $250 and up earns donors a chance to sign their name on the Palladium main stage--enshrining themselves in the history of this classic central-Massachusetts venue at the same time that they help to ensure its future.
