Worcester Public Library to host 2nd Annual Local Author Fair & Bookfest April 2

The fair will include local authors and poets of books that appeal to all ages. Free writing and publishing workshops for local writers will also be held during the fair.
This year's featured writer is Eleni Gage, who will read from her most recent novel, Ladies of Managua. Her reading will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the Saxe Room.

The Workshops
Writers interested in learning more about writing and publishing are welcome to attend the workshops that will be held throughout the day.
All workshops are free and open to the public.
The workshops are as follows:
How to be a Freelance Writer with Ethan Gilsdorf will be held at 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Banx Room. During this workshop, participants will get an overview of the writing life from the 15 year veteran freelance journalist.
Now What? Getting into Print with Jennifer Freed will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Banx Room. This workshop will go over the process of getting your completed manuscript published.
Introduction to Self-Publishing with Diane Vanaskie Mulligan, is the final workshop and it will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. in the Banx Room. If you are thinking about self-publishing but don’t know where to start, this workshop will provide an overview of the process.
