Worcester Public Library to Host Series of Halloween Events for Kids

The Worcester Public Library will host several special events for kids during the week leading up to Halloween.

All events will take place at the Main Library.

Kids Events

The first event will welcome the EcoTarium for a Rocket Launch on Thursday, October 25 at 3:30 p.m. Does a rocket’s shape affect its flight? Use engineering, math, and physics to design and build rocket prototypes! For ages 8-12. Space is limited, please register at mywpl.org or call 508-799-1671.

The next event is a Shadow Puppet Workshop on Saturday, October 27 at 2 p.m. Join the CactusHead Puppet workshop to learn about different kinds of shadow puppets and learn how to make your own. For ages 6 and up.

Don’t miss Washington Irving’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow with J.T. Turner on Monday, October 29 at 4 p.m. The Headless Horseman Rides Again! Storyteller J.T. Turner portrays Washington Irving telling his most famous tale, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

Taking on all the roles of this Halloween tale, Turner has adapted the piece to keep all ages entertained. It is story theater at its best! For ages 6 and up.
