Button Tree Kids: Worcester’s New Family-Friendly Boutique

Friday, August 09, 2013

Button Tree Kids, owned by Ludmila Kalaydnzan and managed by Maria Cullen, is a haven for busy parents and curious children.

Moms and dads in Worcester are singing the praises of Button Tree Kids, a family-friendly boutique that's opened just this spring.

Button Tree Kids opened its doors in April of 2013, an aspiration of owner Ludmila Kalaydnzan, a mother of four. As many parents, she realized it is never easy to go shopping for your kids, with your kids. And with schedules as tight as they are, no one has time to go bouncing from shop to shop. In this boutique the selection of items carried range from newborn to pre-teen, so whether you need clothing, toys, costumes, books, stuffed animals, care products, or gifts, this is your place. Quality is important to Button Tree Kids, so its products are not the type of things you would find mass produced. The collection of toys are an assortment of classical and modern, arts and crafts, and interactive games–anything that ignites the imagination–something that in today’s screentime world, our kids truly need.

According to manager Maria Cullen, the products in the store are made with the customers in mind. Not only is the store made to be as convenient to the parent and as friendly to kids as possible, but the products themselves are acquired with the intent of passing the test of time and making wonderful hand-me-downs, a more “European outlook on things." If that isn’t great enough as it is, they also offer free wrapping–now that is convenient!

Plans for the future

The plans for the store don’t stop at their products. Button Tree Kids will soon offer “drop-in” origami classes for anyone who wants to learn, giving parents tranquility while they shop as their kids learn different types of folds. Other future projects include an indoor garden that kids can work on and come back anytime to see the progress of their plants, as well as children's music and sing-along times.

There are several more things in store for this boutique: late hours so parents can go without their kids; a brand new website that will offer full shipping; an expansion of all product lines; and a hope that with time Button Tree Kids will expand their community engagement in as many ways possible, helping the Tatnuck community and beyond.

Button Tree Kids is located at 1102 Pleasant St. (Tatnuck Square), Worcester. Open Tuesday-Friday 10 AM-5 PM and Saturdays 10AM-4 PM. To contact call 508-926-8710 or email [email protected].
