YMCA Greendale Family Branch Announces Grand Opening of New Splash Pad

Wednesday, June 01, 2016

The YMCA of Central Massachusetts has announced the opening of its new outdoor splash pad at the Greendale Family Branch starting on Sunday, June 5 from 2-4 p.m.

The splash pad comes as one of the benefits from a donation from the Capital Campaign that was launched at the 150th Anniversary. Capital Campaign funds also benefited branch upgrades, renovations and new construction and programs.

"The Splash Pad is a “cool” aspect for those very warm and muggy New England summer days.  Members of the YMCA and their families will be able to enjoy a day of Splish-Splashing at the Y’s Splash Pad, especially when schools are on summer vacation as part of the YMCA’s youth and summer camp programs while many parents still need to work," said the YMCA in their press release.

Other renovations and expansion projects helped by the Capital Campaign help bring life changing programs, education, outreach and services that children, adults and families need and deserve.
