YMCA of Central Mass Set to Celebrate 152nd “Recognition” Event Today

The YMCA of Central Massachusetts will celebrate its 152nd "Recognition" Event on Wednesday, April 27 following the YMCA's Annual Meeting at Boroughs Family Branch in Wesborough. The event will honor youth and adult volunteers who strengthen the foundation of community. 

Debra Seymour will receive special recognition as "The George I. Aiden Chairman's Award" winner. 

“The YMCA of Central Massachusetts is the place to pay forward and pay back all life has given me” said Ms. Seymour, honoree.

The George I. Aiden Chairman's Award 

The award is the most prestigious award presented to a member of the Y community who has a positive, significant impact on the YMCA and the community at large. 

"Debra provided the precise financial guidance the organization needed and we are so grateful that she continues to share her many talents with the Y. There is no doubt that we are in more than capable hands.” said Chairman of the Board, Paula Green.

Board of Directors 

The YMCA of Central Massachusetts has also announced the election of Ted Gallagher of Boylston, Massachusetts to the Board of Directors for a three year term. 

This year's theme "Together we build a better us," is a tribute to the impressive contributions of these honorees as the Y celebrates 152 years of service tot he community.
