15 Vacancies on Worcester Boards and Commissions Need to Be Filled

In a statement to the City Council, City Manager Ed Augustus said, "While some of these opportunities have current applicants in the interview process, we continue to seek qualified candidates, particularly those from under-represented groups in the City, who want to play an active role in municipal government."
The search, which is conducted by the Citizens Advisory Council (CAC), is seeking candidates for the following positions:
Board/Commission (# of opportunities) District Needed
- Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (1) 2, 3 or 4
- Citizen Advisory Council (2) 3
- Commission on Disability (1 associates) 3
- Community Development Advisory Committee (1) 2
- Conservation Commission (4) any district
- GAR Hall Board of Trustees (2) any district
- Historical Commission (1) Mass Ave
- Hope Cemetery Board (1) 3
- Planning Board (1) 4
- Zoning Board of Appeals - any district
Eligibility requirements: 1) be a registered voter; 2) be a resident in the district for one year (except for Executive Boards); 3) not be a City employee (except for Advisory Boards).
