5 Arrested Following Multiple Fights in Worcester

Five people were arrested following multiple fights and disturbances on Water Street in Worcester.

The five people that were arrested include:

  • Richard Santos, 22-years-old of 8 Leon Street, Worcester, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace.
  • Leesandra Gonzalez, 39-years-old of 11 Franklin Street, West Boylston, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace.
  • Sopary Roun, 24-years-old of 12 Wakefield Street, Webster, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace.
  • Maria Velez, 31-years-old of 15 Williamsberg, Worcester, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Disturbing the Peace.
  • Chauntel Martin, 26-years-old of 11 Harris Street, Webster, charged with Disorderly Conduct and Interfering with a Police Officer.

 

The Incident

On Saturday, July 29, at approximately 1:05 a.m., several police officers out of the Operations Division along with officers working the overnight Bar Detail responded to Water Street for a large unruly fight.

Responding officers saw a chaotic scene that involved multiple fights taking place on Water Street. Many people were seen shoving each other and fighting.

Numerous officers were on scene. Many officers gave verbal commands to cease their activities and disperse. The crowd refused.

Officers started to break up the fights .

There were no injuries reported.
