5 Worcester Police Officers to be Promoted in Ceremony on Friday

The Worcester Police Department will promote five officers in a ceremony on Friday at City Hall. 

The ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Levi Lincoln Chamber. 

City Manager Edward M. Augustus Jr., Mayor Joseph M. Petty, Councilor Kate Toomey, Chair of Public Safety and Chief Steven M. Sargent will preside over the ceremony. 

During the ceremony, the officers will take their oaths before family members and colleagues.

The officers being promoted are: 

 

Lieutenant being promoted to rank of Captain:

Lt. Matthew D’Andrea

Sergeants being promoted to the rank of Lieutenant:

Sgt. Miguel Lopez

Sgt. Gary Quitadamo

Sgt. Mark Sawyer

Sgt. Carl Supernor
