6 to 10 Inches of Snow Coming to Worcester Saturday Night

According to the National Weather Service, Worcester can expect heavy snow and strong winds. NWS urges residents to complete any traveling by Saturday afternoon as travel will become difficult by Saturday night.
NWS also warns residents that roofs that haven't been cleared may become susceptible to collapse during the storm.

WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING
* LOCATIONS...CENTRAL MASSACHUSETTS AND NORTHERN RHODE ISLAND.
* HAZARD TYPES...HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG WINDS.
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...6 TO 10 INCHES.
* TIMING...SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO SUNDAY.
* IMPACTS....TRAVEL MAY BECOME DIFFICULT. ROOFS WHICH HAVE NOT BEEN CLEARED COULD BECOME LADEN WITH MORE SNOW...LEADING TO COLLAPSE.
* WINDS...WEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.
* VISIBILITIES...ONE HALF MILE AT TIMES.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A WINTER STORM WATCH IS ISSUED FOR THE POTENTIAL OF MORE THAN 6 INCHES OF SNOW. PLAN TO HAVE TRAVEL COMPLETED SATURDAY AFTERNOON.
