60-Year-Old Man Stabbed During Fight in Worcester

A 60-year-old man was stabbed following a fight in the area of Main Street in Worcester.

He suffered minor stab wounds to his hand and back, and the injuries are not life-threatening.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Incident

On Friday, September 15 at about 11:25 a.m., police were sent to the RMV at 611 Main St for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers found a 60-year-old victim sitting on the windowsill of the RMV bleeding from his forearm. The victim was not cooperative with officers, and refused to give a subject description. The victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

Detectives arrived and spoke with witnesses, who said they observed a dispute between the victim and a younger man on Main St. The suspect chased the victim across Main St and appeared to be trying to punch him in the back. They realized later that the victim had been stabbed in the back and the hand. The suspect fled the scene on foot. The suspect appeared to be a light-skinned man with long, light-brown hair.
