Highest Paid Central MA College Presidents - 2016 Report

Four Central Massachusetts college presidents made the ranking and they may far less than their counterparts at the Boston-area colleges and universities.

Some of the salaries and total compensation are quite amazing. Tops in the country is Lee C. Bollinger who heads Columbia University and his total compensation totals $4,615,230.
For public universities, Renu Khator of the University of Houston and serves Chancellor UH System and UH President (January 2008 - current) receives total compensation of $1,300,000 annually.
"The Chronicle's executive-compensation package includes data on more than 1,200 chief executives at nearly 600 private colleges from 2008-13 and 250 public universities and systems from 2010-15. Updated in July, 2016, with 2014-15 public college data."
The top three highest compensation in Massachusetts are:
1. Robert A. Brown of Boston University
He is the 18th highest in the U.S.
President (September 2005 - current)
Total Annual Compensation: $1,182,534
2. Joseph E. Aoun of Northeastern University
He is the 33rd highest in the U.S.
President (August 2006 - current)
Total Annual Compensation: $998,960
3. Drew Gilpin Faust of Harvard University
She is ranked 42nd highest paid in the U.S.
President (July 2007 - current)
Total Annual Compensation: $929,584
