The attacks on two Christchurch mosques have left 50 people dead and 50 wounded. The live video by the shooter of his own massacre quickly went viral on other major sites like YouTube and Twitter.

Social media companies have been working to remove it, but footage has since been reposted many times.

Officials are now criticizing the tech giants once again for reacting too slowly to harmful content.

Some critics are even accusing the social media companies of purposely letting the video be reposted.

Editor's note: This story was updated as one of the victims who was founded passed on Saturday night -- 50 have now died as a result of the mass shooting.
