Worcester Family’s Home Invaded By Three Men with Guns

The home of a Worcester couple and their four children was broken into by masked gun men Tuesday morning a little after 12:45 AM.

Worcester Police Officers responded to an Orient Street to the reported home invasion.

Upon the officers arrival they met with a 33-year-old man. According to the victim, three male suspects, wearing dark clothing, armed with handguns and a crowbar, entered his home. Two of the suspects had guns while the third held the crowbar.

The victim stated that he was watching television in bed while his family slept. At this time he heard a loud bang coming from the front door. The male victim got out of bed and went to check out the noise. The victim observed three males running up the stairs heading towards him.

The male victim attempted to shut the bedroom door but the males forced their way into the room. The suspects demanded money from the male victim. The suspects took cash from the male.

Inside the apartment was the male victim’s 29-year-old wife and their four children ages 1, 2, 6 and 16. The suspects took cash from the wife’s purse and from the 16-year-olds purse. The suspects searched the home but did not locate any additional money. After searching the home the suspects left.

There were no injuries reported.

WPD detectives arrived at the scene and took charged of the investigation. Members of the Crime Scene Unit arrived and processed the scene for evidence.
